I started working with children professionally over 40 years ago. My experience working with children and families have included 28 years working for a local authority in a Social care team. This includes working with families who have a child in need, or within the child protection remit. During recent years I now work therapeutically with children who have been fostered, adopted or living with Special guardians. My expertise also includes working specifically with trauma and offering trauma informed parenting support. I began my play therapy journey over 15 years ago and have been practicing as a play therapist ever since and now work part time freelance. I also supervise both trainee and qualified therapists in my local area.
